ICORE - September 27, 2015

As usual, A Good Time Was Had By All at the September 27 SEIPS ICORE Match.  Elden set up two stages.  Rex and John P. set up one each.  Congratulations once again to Rex Hanson for his awesome #1 shooting time and also for being Most Accurate.  Way to GO, Rex!

We used both group photos from this match. Each has its ow "special" qualities. We also put one photo of each shooter here on the blog.  There are over 150 photos from the match in a Flickr album.  Ignore Flickr's thing that says all rights are reserved.  You can download and use any of the photos however you want.  Links to two other ICORE matches this summer are at the bottom of the page.  Here is the link to today's match album:

Below is a screen clip of the score sheet.  Thanks, Elden, for a Great Match and all your hard work processing the scores and points and so forth.  If could all give you a big ol' round of online applause, we sure would!

(NOTE: The score sheet is included once again at the very bottom of this blog post in a slightly different format.  We found some people's mobile devices prefer the format at the bottom of this post.)

You can click on the above and maybe get a larger, more readable version.

ICORE - August 24, 2014

The monthly SEIPS ICORE Match is a "hoot-n-shoot."  A small group of Good Friends get together each month to enjoy an arcane acticity--shooting wheel guns (AKA: revolvers).  Led on by our Trusty Match Director Elden Dalley, the ICORE Stalwarts are put through their paces in a variety of always-challenging stages.  This month the ICORE group enjoyed the continuing creativity of our Esteemed Match Director.

The five stages added up to a round count of 68.  The match was finished about 12:30 pm.  Once again, Rex was The Alpha Shooter, turning in a blazing fast 135.15, about 19 seconds ahead of second place participant, Dave.  As seems to be the case each month, Rex was also the Most Accurate, notching a mere 15 hits, less than half of the second place total of 31 hits.  Perhaps Rex's accuracy was enhanced by his classic Old School tye-dye t-shirt.

Since the Club Car was still located on the playing field, The Match Director allowed a participant to design a stage around it. Everyone seemed to enjoy using the Club Car as a prop during an ICORE Match.

The Match stats shown here are screen shots of Elden's spread sheet.  Over 60 photos of the match appear in an album linked below a partial collage of pictures.

Unfortunately, this will be our last ICORE match of the season.  We will be in Lehi, Utah, on September 26-27 to participate in the UDPL Utah IDPA State Championship with Bill R.  And then, somewhat sadly, we will be heading south to Ol' Airy Zonie on October 20 to participate in  Tier 2 IDPA Match October 25 at the Prescott Action Shooters.

Thanks to each and every one of the ICORE participants for making every single Match "one to remember!"

PS--Once again we failed to get photos of each participant.  Our apologies.  We were running a little slow today after yesterday's BUG Match.

ICORE - June 29, 2014

The June ICORE Match was thoroughly enjoyed by the few, stalwart revolver enthusiasts who attended.  Match Director Elden Dalley once again reached deep into his seemingly endless bag of tricks to produce five challenging stages.  Elden even threw in a barrel of fun for this ICORE Match!  THANKS, Elden, we all appreciate your constant creativity and dedication to ICORE!

Here are the scores.  Congrats to Rex for lowest time AND fewest Points Down!

We took a lot of photos.  The links to the album are below this graphic.

SEIPS ICORE - May 25, 2014

Another GREAT ICORE Match was held Memorial Day Weekend.  Match Director Elden Dalley got really creative with this ever-challenging stage designs this month.  He even threw in not one but two of the infamous plate racks, plus a snubbie stage.

ICORE participants can always count on Elden to bring new, intriguing and sometimes confounding stages to each month's match.  Once again, Rex was the Top Gun in both time and fewest hits.  Last month Rex has a mere five hits.  This month he had 7.  One of these matches, we fully expect him to have zero hits.  Way to go, Rex!

We took far fewer photos this month, only 150 compared to 500 last month.  We pared the photos down to 100 and put them into a slide show.  The slide show is embedded here but it might not play for some users.  We have also provided two links to view the photos individually.  If neither link works, email me and I will try to get the pictures to you.

Thanks to everyone for another Great Match!

SEIPS ICORE Match Results for April 27, 2014

A dozen well dressed SEIPS members turned out for a cool, breezy April ICORE Match. The Idaho Spring weather didn't dim the enthusiasm of the shooters.  The 9 am temperature was a balmy 36 degrees. The winds gusted up to 26 mph but conditions warmed to 48 by the end of the match about 1 pm.

Thanks to Elden Dalley for putting together yet another memorable, fun and challenging 5-stage revolver match!
Neither rain, sleet, wind, snow or cold will deter the hard core ICORE shooters from their monthly match.

Rex put on a revolver shooting exhibition at the April ICORE.  Not only was Rex the fastest shooter, his mere 5 Hits was one of the lowest Hit totals in an ICORE match in a long time.  Way to go, Rex!

Below are the results for each of the five stages.  You should be able to use your scroll bar to move the graphic to see the other stages.  If that doesn't work, click on the graphic and you might get a readable version.

For the first time, we were able to scan in Elden's stage descriptions for an ICORE match.  As long as Elden puts them all on a single sheet like this, we will be able to reproduce the stage COFs here to match up with the results.  Thanks, Elden!
As usual, we took a ba-zillion photos, over 500 if you can believe it.  One of the reasons we took so many photos is that we used our camera's "sport mode."  The camera takes a photo roughly every second.  We hope to convert some of those sequences into some videos.  Don't worry, we aren't going to publish 500+ photos.  Here is one of our favorites of the day of George.  It's the first time we have ever caught the muzzle blast looking this good.  Catching the muzzle blast is just plain pure luck and coincidence.
Captions are below each of the remaining photos.
In addition to his fastest time and fewest hits, Rex also received the coveted "Best Dressed" award for the day.  The boots definitely helped earn extra style points.
Elden Arnell gave Rex a run for his money, finishing 2nd in both time and fewest hits.
Bill Roberts recorded the fastest raw time of the match.  His 148.66 raw time was nearly 21 seconds faster than Rex's raw time.  Bill finished third in adjusted time
Skip demonstrates his ever-consistent shooting stance and form.
Dave shoots with his support (weak).
Bill was the third most accurate shooter.
 Larry and his .357 Magnum.
Mark records his shooting with a GoPro camera.
Craig gets off s hot with his long barrel revolver.
And here's Elden totin' his ol' .44.
Elden tries to explain one of his stage designs.  "Ya dun good," Elden, we all Thank You!

September 15 ICORE

The September ICORE match was another great monthly event.  Thanks to Elden Dalley for his tireless efforts in entertaining the SEIPS revolver enthusiasts on the 3rd Sunday each month!  We will try to get a better rendition of the score sheet.  This is a screen grab that was enlarged.  Hopefully, we can convert Elden's XLS spreadsheet into something we can share here that's a lot more readable.  Thanks to everyone for helping make it a great ICORE kinda day! (You can click on the scoresheet to see a larger version.)

August 18 ICORE Match

Elden Dalley returned to ICORE in August and really strung together some fun stages for a great match.  THANKS, Elden!  "Ya dun good!"  Elden even put in a BUG Stage designed in such a way that shooters didn't have to swap out holsters and so forth.  Everyone really enjoyed the match which lasted about 2.5 hours.

We had to use a screen capture method to convert the spreadsheet of the scores into pictures to display here.  It's a little harder to read that our normal method of presentation.  More photos will be forthcoming soon.  (Note: J. Parsons' results should be listed in the "Limited" category, not the Classic Division.)
